Hello Murrumbeena Bowls Club members! We recently held our Annual General Meeting, and here are the key highlights. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions.
AGM Details
The 2026 Murrumbeena Bowls Club AGM was held at the MBC club rooms at 3pm Saturday August 1 2026.
Club Leadership
The leadership team for the upcoming year has been nominated and voted on. President: Murray McLean, Vice President: Marg Hoey, Secretary: Sue Foley, and Treasurer: Richard Bouwmeester occupy the executive positions. We also welcome our Ordinary Committee Members: Steve Bieniak, Andrew Crommelin, Vera Fernandes, Manni Karaminis, and Andrew Venning.
Committees
The Selection Committee will consist of Marg Hoey, Malcolm Mills, and Murray McLean. For the Match/Tournament Committee, we have Steve Bieniak, Jo McLean, and Andrew Venning. Vera Fernandes will serve as our Social Secretary, and the Greens Committee will be led by Alan Crowhurst and Murray McLean. Alan Crowhurst will also continue as our Bar Licensee.
Special Recognition
A special recognition was given to Alan Crowhurst, who was awarded a Life Membership for his wonderful contributions to the Club. We are grateful for his dedication and service over many years. Congratulations and well deserved Alan.
